Focused on reading and writing from an early age, I established Editing & Indexing in Virginia in 1997 after serving as a house editor in the non-profit, retail, and architecture and engineering industries. Clients needed more than manuscript scrubbing and organizing, though, and so the “associates” came along: designers, IP attorneys, printers, illustrators, cartographers, and more.

My academic training is in sociology, education, English, and the humanities. Professionally I have worked in the architecture and engineering field, Intelligence Community, aerospace, geotechnology, cartography, education, and publishing. Additional long-time interests include self-help, literature, biography, animal welfare, and the Midwest.
